Ciao a tutti.

What a brilliant start to the year in the Italiano classroom. It was wonderful to see everyone back, happy and engaged in their learning.

Signora Stott and I are working together with the Foundation students. They are enjoying their Italiano sessions and can already name and read a range of colours, count to 10 and introduce themselves; “Io mi chiamo…” You may like to have a practice with them at home.

The Grade 1 to 6 students are continuing to build on their conversational language and as well as cultural understandings. This Term our focus will be Italia, the country.

The Term finished with the Grade 6 students cooking Crostoli, just like nonna used to do it. Flour, pasta machines and some icing sugar made for a fun end to a fabulous Term.
