Music

Music is in full swing at IPS! Our Foundation musicians have been singing, dancing and performing on tuned and non-tuned percussion instruments. It’s enormous fun!

Year One and Two classes have learnt a new dance called The Sid Shuffle as well as performing in ensembles using pianos, drums and all manner of percussion instruments.

Recorders are all the rage in years 3 and 4.  Budding performers can be heard at lunchtimes – 3OL is the hot spot. Also, these students perform dances and sing our school repertoire.

Singing on the bus on the way to year four camp was great fun.

Year 5 and 6 class bands are powering along. Students can choose the role they play and we use the full complement of instruments: Guitars, Pianos, Marimbas and Drums as well as electrical amps and microphones. Students will compete for Top Band at IPS in Battle of the Bands.

Choir and String groups have been rehearsing throughout Term 1 in preparation for Term 2 performances.
