Work Inspiration Visit

Work Inspiration Visit – Pearson Education Publishing House

On Monday, 24th October, and Tuesday, 26th October, 21 students from the Year 9 Goals Program and selected Year 11 students attended the Work Inspiration Excursion to Pearson Education Publishing House.

The Smith Family provide these experiences for students. The experience aims to provide students with an opportunity to be part of various industries in our society. Students participate in activities that demonstrate the core transferrable skills necessary for successful participation in a 21st Century workplace.

These include skills such as communication, flexibility, creativity and teamwork. The students were offered a variety of experiences including working with various individuals from the Pearson’s team such as Customer Experience, Sales and Marketing Teams to complete a group project.

All of the students who participated in the two days were wonderful ambassadors for our school. Their ability to embrace the experience provided them with a great deal of personal growth and careers awareness.

A big thank you to Karen Gill, from The Smith Family, for organising this experience and for her supportive and caring nature and approach with our students.

Thank you to the students who attended and their parents who supported this initiative.
