A note from Mr Jackson

Concert Ticket Update

It was great to have such an eager response to tickets to our School Concert. The provision of a small number of extra tickets was allocated this week. If you have not heard from our office staff then unfortunately there were not enough extra tickets to allocate.

Our whole school rehearsal was a flurry of activity yesterday. There is a level of excitement and energy that I am sure parents and carers have experienced at home.

Footy Day Thanks

There was a huge amount of encouragement as teams paraded through the school grounds on Tuesday this week. Our Junior School Council should be very proud of their AFL skills clinic and competition on the oval! The announcement of the final amount raised will be made at the assembly on Friday.

FORPS BBQ Record

A special thanks to parents who turned sausages on the weekend at the Bunnings BBQ! Their collaboration earned over $2,000 for Rosanna Primary students! Thanks to the volunteers who gave of their time and energy to share in this successful day!

Swimming Program Starts Term 4 Day 1!

Swimming starts on the first day of Term 4! A number of families have not yet paid to attend. Heavily subsidised by the Department of Education, this program is a chance for students to build their water safety confidence. Please contact the office if you are having difficulty paying, we don’t want anyone to miss out.

Early Finish on Friday

A reminder that our term finishes at 2:30pm on Friday. The final term assembly will be held at 1:45pm. Supervision is provided in the playground until 2:45pm. Please ensure that your child is picked up promptly.

Vacation Care Over the Holidays

TheirCare will be operating a holiday program for students at Rosanna Primary School over the coming two weeks. To reserve your place and register, please make sure that you give them a call!

Traffic on Grandview Grove

A reminder to consider the impact of your actions when using the Grandview Grove drop off and pick up, entry and exit of the school. Please do not try and complete a three point turn in this space during the peak morning and afternoon periods. Do not double park in this space as it puts students at risk. Recently an accident resulted from illegal parking. I encourage all our community to contact the local council if they have concerns about the congestion in this area.

Great Book Swap

Thanks to all who bought in a book and a gold coin to swap a book this week. Our community raised a significant amount of money towards the Indigenous Literacy Foundation! What a great way to share the richness of reading while supporting such an important community organisation.

Smile Squad Cause

Tomorrow will be the final day of check ups for Term 3. They will be back in term 4 to continue to connect with students.
