Chess Victoria State Finals

For the first time in our school’s history, Mordialloc College qualified for the Chess Victoria State Finals, held on Monday 10 October at Brighton Grammar.

The team consisted of:

• Alex Nguyen (9F)
   
• Alex Chan (9C)
   
• Kevin Ung (9J)

Our team proved that they were able to compete at the finals event, culminating in a very impressive 4 points out of 7 for Dhawan.

The popularity in Chess has risen significantly this year and participating in tournaments and the finals have proven invaluable for all our members. We hope that these results will spur on all our Chess club members to further heights next year!
