Principal's Message

Term 4 Begins
Welcome back to school for Term 4 of 2022. This fourth term is a time to celebrate and appreciate the great gains in learning that have been achieved throughout the year. It is also a time to consolidate learning and to really push to achieve the highest possible standards. It is evident in classrooms, specialist classes, support programs and in the school yard that the students are switched on and enthusiastic about their learning. This is great way to start the term.

Sun Smart Policy – Hats
All students are reminded to wear a hat while outside throughout Term 4. Parents are asked to check that their children have that in their school bags each day so that able to join in with outdoor play and physical education.
Walking to School
In order to minimise the traffic around the school during morning drop off and afternoon pickup parents are encouraged to park the away from the school and let children walk the last little bit of the journey.
New Signage
New signage has been installed at the school entrances. Gates have been numbered as part of the Emergency Management Plan and two modern Mount View Primary School signs have been erected at the two entrances: Shepherd Road and Lori Place.
Grounds Improvements
Improvements to the school grounds have been underway and these include:
Cricket Pitch Resurface
All improvements are aimed at improving the opportunities for the students and to encourage healthy lifestyles.
Planning for 2023
In order for school leadership to plan for the 2023 we need to know if any students will be leaving Mount View at the end of the year. In addition, if you know of family and friends who will be sending their children to Mount View next year, please let them know that it is vital that they contact the office mount.view.ps@education.vic.gov.au so that the children can be included in next year’s classes.
