Year 3/4 Report

The Year 3/4 students have made a great start to Term 4, with everyone eager to see their friends and jump back into learning.

This term in Inquiry, the 3/4 students will be studying the central idea that ‘Natural forces and human activity change the Earth’s surfaces’. Students will explore soil, rocks and landscapes while directly linking our learning in the garden. This week students worked collaboratively to discuss questions and their knowledge of Earth and its surfaces.  In Literacy, students will explore non-fiction texts and deepen their understanding of the Earth and its surfaces through a range of informative texts.

In Numeracy, students have been learning about ‘Multiplication and Division’’. They have been learning to apply different multiplication and division strategies to solve problems. represent money values in multiple ways and also count the change required for simple transitions. Students will also explore ‘Time’ focusing on reading the time to the minute and converting between 12 and 24 hour time.

We will share about our fabulous time at Camp Weekaway in the next issue of the newsletter.
