Term 3 Community Inquiry Open Sessions

In the last week of Term 3, we invited the community to our Community Open sessions to celebrate student learning. Students across the school explored history and the perspectives of others through the big idea 'Time and Place'.

The Foundation students inquired into how toys have changed over time and they held a Toy Museum sharing movable toys that they have designed and created.

The Year 1/2 students inquired into the connection between the past and the present and investigated their personal and family history. They held a History Museum to share their personal history.

The Year 3/4 students inquired into European exploration and colonisation in Australia in the early 1800s and the impact on indigenous culture. They honoured the First Nations People by creating their own Acknowledgement of Country.

The Year 5/6 students inquired into the significant events and developments that shaped Australia during the 1900s, including the gold rush and immigration. Students wrote a biography about the life of someone who migrated into Australia, including their migration journey, a map and timeline of the journey taken and other significant events in that person's life.
