A message from the Principal
Dear Parents and Carers
Welcome to term 4 - it is hard to believe we are heading towards the end of 2022 - but term 4 sees the return of the School Fair - now known as the Big Play Out! Make sure you keep an eye on our Compass posts for updates on how you can get involved and help us prepare for the big day.
We also begin our preparation for the following school year. We welcome our 2023 Foundation students on Friday 21st October to the first of three transition sessions.
Planning for 2023 class allocations has begun. Please see below for information relating to classes for next year.
CLASS ALLOCATIONS FOR 2023
The following provides information regarding 2023 class allocations;
- All year levels will be mixed.
- The allocation of teachers to classes will not be finalised until early December.
- Class lists will be forwarded home on Monday 12th December at 4pm.
- Classes will meet with their new teacher on Tuesday 13th December.
Students have the opportunity to list five friends they would like to be in a class with next year. We guarantee to place your child with at least one person from their list.
The composition of classes is a complex and delicate balancing act; taking into account friendships, learning styles and needs, suitability of teacher, combinations of children and a range of other factors.
Should you have a significant matter to raise in relation to class composition for next year please complete the “Class List 2023 – Parent Request Form” via the link below by 4pm Wednesday 16th November. Relevant historical requests will need to be updated using the link. All requests must be submitted via this link rather than via email or phone call. Please note that not all requests will be met, particularly in relation to requests for a preferred classroom teacher. Late requests cannot be accepted.

Please refer to the Class Placement Policy for more information regarding how requests for class placement are managed.
We look forward to seeing you at the many events we have planned for this term - we are grateful that we have been able to engage with families in a more meaningful way this year. Check out the Important Dates page to ensure your diaries are up-to-date.
Take care
Megan
