Students inspired by Author visit

Last week we were excited to welcome author of the Way of the Weedy Seadragon, Anne Morgan, to our school. 

During Term 3, Year 3/4 students studied the illustrations in this book by Lois Bury with our amazing Art teacher, Mrs Boyd, and created their own colourful sea creatures. It was very exciting to meet the author of the Way of the Weedy Seadragon and learn about the journey of creating and publishing books. 

We even have some budding authors at John Paul II; Madeleine Henwood has already submitted some of her stories to the library and she was delighted to meet a published author. 

We look forward to reading more of Anne Morgan’s books during our library lessons, and hearing about the new books she will be publishing.
