World Cup Fever comes to the Greek Language Room.

This term the year 4/5 and year 6/7 students have been engaged in World Cup learning activities. Lessons have included learning vocabulary associated with the World Cup, the names of the continents and the 32 countries participating in the World Cup as well as interesting facts about the World Cup, Brazil and the Greek national team.

The Year 5/6/7 students completed posters advertising the World Cup which are on display in the classroom. The Year 4/5 students have chosen a team/country and are currently working on a short profile of that country, its flag and the team’s Home and Away kit.

The Year 6/7 students have chosen a player from either the Socceroos or the Greek national team and are currently working on a player profile to present as a PowerPoint presentation and an oral. 

Finally the students predicted who will win the 2014 World Cup this year:

Brazil:   11      Greece :  6        Argentina:  2

Spain:   1        Portugal: 1        Holland: 1

Croatia: 1

On the 13th July we’ll see who got it right!!!!!
