Principal's Report

Dear Parents,

As we finish another term of school in remote and flexible learning, some may be under the impression that time has been lost.  On the contrary, and whilst not ideal, during this period of lockdown the staff have been very focused on making sure student assessments have been completed, engaging programs such as the recent Book Week incursion for the whole school, and Project Rockit series of webinars for the grade 5 and 6 students, and even our whole school footy dress-up days have continued in earnest.

Behind the scenes, staff have been meeting with parents regarding student progress, meeting in teaching teams planning, moderating and assessing student work whilst all the while monitoring student wellbeing and ensuring all of our students have the access and requirements needed to fully engage with the teaching and learning program.

With fingers crossed we hope that next term will be a smooth one with attendance wholly on-site so we can see all of those bright smiling faces again!

As with every fourth term of a school year, planning for the following year steps up a gear. As such, it is crucial that any families who have a child to be enrolled in grade prep for 2021 has their enrolment forms in straight away.  Likewise, if you know you will be leaving us at the end of the year, except for grade 6 students, please inform the office so we can plan accordingly.

Until we hopefully see you on-site next term, on behalf of the entire school staff, we wish you a safe and relaxing holiday period, and we thank you all for your support and understanding during this difficult time.  For those families whose children attend on-site, please remember that the last day of term  this Friday, is a 2:30pm dismissal.

If you haven't done so as yet it would be great if we could all make getting vaccinated a priority.

Kind Regards,

Simon McGlade
