Principal's Report

Thoughts from our Acting Principal - Mrs Karen Jagers

NAPLAN

Parent information letters have now been dispatched to schools. We anticipate a slower than usual delivery time given the current challenges of Australia Post.

KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION AND TRANSITION PROGRAMS

At this stage, our Kindergarten Orientation and Transition programs have been unable to be aligned to new dates. As soon as we have information around our COVID  road map forward, dates will be determined and published.

REMOTE LEARNING

Being our fourth week of lockdown, we can only hope for some good news on Friday 10 September. If I was a gambling person, right now I am not sure which way I would bet. How about you?

Thank you all, extended family members included, for supporting your children in their wellbeing and around their remote learning. As a professional learning community, we as staff have the greatest admiration of you all and extend our sincere thanks.

R U OK?Day

Thursday 9 September

This week the nation acknowledges R U OK? Day, Thursday 9 September, a dedicated day of action to remind everyone that we should be regularly checking in with each other around wellbeing. Most significantly in this current COVID landscape, R U OK? Day is an important date on our calendar. While we are regularly checking in, staff will include particular R U OK? Day activities into the remote learning on Thursday 9 September. On Thursday, we are encouraging everyone to wear yellow, or a splash of yellow, being the signature colour of R U OK? Day. Students on site may like to wear casual clothing with the yellow theme.

The school community hopes that our parents and carers are OK and that other people are looking out for you.
