Short Film Competition

The year was 2021... In the midst of another lockdown... came a good distraction and the opportunity to express oneself creatively, while seeking to bring joy to others: The 2021 Oxley Christian College Short Film Competition!

Are you a student who is handy with a phone or a video camera? Can you edit together some video with some voice-overs or music overlays? Are you familiar with the free iMovie app on an iPhone, or Movie Maker on a Surface Pro, or perhaps used Canva online, or perhaps other video editing software? Not yet!? Now is your time!

Oxley invites all students from Year 7 to Year 12 to have a go! Create a movie, 20 seconds long, or up to three minutes maximum in length. Interpret the theme Joy, by expressing what it means to you; or what you picture when you think of the word joy; or make something that you think will bring joy to others!
