Principal Introduction

Dear EMC Community,

Unfortunately, our principal Mr Dean King, experienced a fall on his bicycle last weekend resulting in a number of fractures with surgery required to repair a seriously broken collar bone.  He is currently on sick leave but looking to return as soon as possible. Students and parents are encouraged to contact their child’s sub school Assistant Principal, Student Achievement Leader or Home Group Teacher with any queries in the short term.

With the continuing lockdown, and firmer restrictions weighing heavily, It is important for us to prioritise connection, wellbeing and belonging as a community. We recognise this lockdown in particular is impacting differently on our community in contrast to previous lockdowns.  Individuals may appear to be THRIVING, others coping and families challenged by the unpredictability of daily events; but together we are all here to support each other whilst undertaking remote learning, in readiness for your return to school. If you need support in regards to learning or wellbeing, please do not hesitate to reach out to your Home Group Teacher as your first point of contact, or Sub School team for additional support. We are all here for you!

Access to the College can only be made through appointment.  If you require access, or have any questions regarding this information, please contact us through 9788 2600 or elisabeth.murdoch.co@education.vic.gov.au.

Wishing everyone a safe week ahead, I am confident that we will continue to be successful as a community, thank you for your support.

Warm regards,

Laura Higgins

Acting Assistant Principal
