Classroom Libraries

The Year One / Two classes are each working on developing engaging classroom libraries. The classroom library includes books from the whole school library, chosen by the children. Over the next week or so, we will be looking at developing some categories and sorting the books into these categories to support the children's interest and engagement in reading.

Performing Arts Fairy Tale Scripts

The children are so excited to be transitioning into their fairy tale puppet plays unit in Performing Arts. Last week, each Years One and Two classroom selected their favourite narratives and were cast in roles of their choosing. All students have received their take home practice scripts. The gingerbread Man was extremely popular and Little Red Riding Hood was a very close second!

To assist in our preparation, I kindly ask that the children begin to practice and memorize these lines as best as they can in both Performing Arts classroom time and at home, where possible. 

This week the children will have alternative times for their Performing Arts class time. I kindly ask that the following classes try to bring their scripts for their Performing Arts lesson. I will have spares just in case children misplace them or forget to bring them for the class. Please refer to the times below: 

Friday - Rooms 9 and 10.  

All classes will resume as normal in the final week of term.

Tuesday - Room 10 

Wednesday - Rooms 5 and 6

Thursday - Rooms  9 and 4
