MyCareer Insights - Year 9 Morrisby Testing

Year 9 students recently participated in the My Career Insights program to help make informed decisions about their career paths. 

The program, which is a collaboration between the Department of Education and Training, the Career Education Association of Victoria and Career Analysts, included a series of interactive online questions and quizzes that were held in first term to identify students' strengths abilities and interests. This testing has been followed up with a one-on-one interview, with industry-trained Morrisby career consultants. 

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, these interviews were conducted online during the past two weeks of this term. These interviews gave students the opportunity to find out about themselves, have a deeper understanding about where their strengths lie and offer insights into possible pathways. 

Students have been assisted in setting realistic and achievable goals as well as creating strategies to plan their own career journey. 

Hopefully this experience will give students the confidence to begin making informed choices around their future schooling and open up potential career options for them.
