Expressions in Origami

By Hayley M (10F)

Our Year 10 Surface Design class explored the art of origami during remote learning.

Our task was to make three animals from the same habitat. We then had to create their habitat from supplies we had at home and submit a photo of our creation.

During the project, we realised that origami is much harder than it looks. The task took a lot of time and patience, so we have greater respect for origami artists.

Other than make our own designs, we also researched famous artworks and the history behind origami making.

Overall it was a really fun project and great to do during remote learning. We have learnt so many new skills throughout this semester in Surface Design.

My Photo - Life Through the Lens

MyPhoto students have continued to create some fantastic photographic art while looking around their home environments for inspiration.

Students have learnt about five different genres including photography, landscape, portrait, surrealism, documentary and still life, and have been shooting a different genre each week.

Please see some of their beautiful artworks below.
