PTFA Executive Team

We are pleased to announce the members of the College community who have been selected to lead our PTFA Executive Team:

President: Matt Jellie

My name is Matt Jellie and I am really looking forward to being a part of the PTFA and seeing us come together as a school family after a tough couple of years. Before starting my new job with Scripture Union in 2021, I was a teacher at King's for 22 years. My wife Shannon is a current teacher at King's and my two daughters also attend our wonderful school. I love the values of King's College and the fact that what we teach at home in terms of our Christian faith is replicated at school. I attend Naringal Baptist Church, love hanging out with family and friends and barrack for the mighty Richmond Football Club!

Vice President: Amy Newton

My name is Amy. I’m Benjamin, Elliana, Olivia & Jack’s mum. Our family lives on a dairy farm near Port Campbell. My interests include planning & organising events, spending time with my family & friends and serving in my Church. I am so looking forward to serving in my role as Co-Vice President of the PTFA.

Vice President: Naomi Pech

I love living in Warrnambool with my husband and two children. Our involvement with King’s College started in 3-year-old kinder, with our children now in Junior School. School Uniform Reminder

With the changes introduced to the school uniform this year, there are some aspects of the uniform policy that require clarification. We also want to take the opportunity to thank those students who wear their uniform correctly. At the same time, there are some reminders needed. In particular, the following points need attention:

  • Students in Year 7 to 12 must have a Blazer which must be worn to and from school, at Assemblies and other formal school events.
  • Boys in Year 7 to 12 must wear a tie in Term 2 and Term 3. When wearing the tie, the shirt must be tucked in.
  • Boys are to be clean shaven.
  • Boys are not permitted to wear earrings.
  • Hair longer than the top of the collar is to be tied back.
  • Coats and scarves are not to be worn inside. Beanies are not part of the school uniform and must not be worn with it.
  • The only sports uniforms are those outlined in the uniform guidelines. There are new shorts for Boys and Girls as well as leggings for Senior School Girls.

Teachers will be following up on these matters and issuing consequences for uniform infringements. If you require further clarification on aspects of the school uniform, please refer to the Student Uniform Regulations on the College Website or speak to your child’s teacher.
