Parents & Friends News

Dear all,

We are very much looking forward to our Prom Gone Wrong event this Saturday.

We are also pleased to announce that our auction site is now live at the following link:

WHAT ARE WE RAISING FUNDS FOR?

Funds will help us make improvements to the classroom facilities and provide a comfortable environment in which children can learn, develop and thrive, as well as enjoy access to additional technology resources with the latest learning educational support tools.

HOW CAN YOU HELP ST MARY'S?

The year's fundraising event, Prom Gone Wrong, along with an Online Air Auction Site, is an opportunity for the school community to come together, re-form bonds, have lots of fun and ideally generate some exciting bids. Whether you can attend the event or not, the Online Air Auction provides an easy, convenient and accessible way for you to pick up a great item whilst contributing to the fundraising efforts.

WHAT'S ON OFFER?

In anticipation of Prom Gone Wrong, the P&F Committee has sought donations of products, services and vouchers from local and regional businesses, major corporations and organisations. We have been overwhelmed and touched by the generosity we have experienced, with many businesses commenting that they were keen to support our school and by extension give back to the community having not been able to do this in the last few years. We are equally thankful to our St Mary's parents, so many of whom, have donated products, services, vouchers, and their time to help make this event a success.

Donated Auction items range from major entertainment packages, dining, accommodation, exquisite women and men's jewellery, premier tickets and sporting memorabilia. There are items or vouchers to satisfy kids, teens and adults with categories in fitness, dining, beauty, food and fashion, as well as books, original art, a kids scooter and even a Ryobi drill !

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?

Register early to bid on items (using your Google / Facebook profiles or via email). Make sure you browse through the Auction items and hopefully you will either find something new that you would like to bid on, or something from a favourite local supplier. All items have been given a reasonable minimum bid price and a buy-it-now price, lower than its value.  Get your bids in early to be in it, to win it .... or, if you really want the item, hit the buy-it-now button to avoid disappointment.  There is no limit to how many items you would like to bid on or buy-now.

PLACE YOUR BIDS & AUCTION CLOSING DETAILS

The St Mary's Air Auctioneer site for online bidding items will cease at 9:30PM on Saturday 30 July for all items, except the Major Auction Items. Make sure you continuously revisit the site and keep an eye on the bidding on your preferred items and place your "best" final bids before bidding closes. Major Auction Items bidding will cease at 9:00PM on the Air Auctioneer site on Saturday 30 July, and will transfer to a Live Auction, enabling bidding from attendees at the Prom Gone Wrong event to bid LIVE - unless the Item has sold prior under the buy-it-now option. Payments can be made directly through the Air Auctioneer Site for a small .30c fee or on the night of the event. Successful bidders will be advised via email.

GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING!

Business & Service Directory

In an effort to make our families aware of our potential community connections, we are inviting parents and carers to submit their details to an online directory if they have a particular business or service that they are happy to promote to others. This could also include freelancers or volunteers who have specialised skills that could be of benefit. By building an online directory, we hope to strengthen our community connections and relationships. Once submissions have been collected, we will make the directory available to all members of our community via the school newsletter.
