Feast of the Assumption

Next Monday we celebrate the Feast of the Assumption. This day is a holy day of obligation and as such we will be attending Mass at 11:30am.

This is a parish Mass and parents are most welcome to attend.

Book Week

Book Week 2022 is  not far off so please check out the Book Week page of our newsletter for ongoing details.

New Art Teacher

We have finally been able to appoint a new Visual Art teacher to our school!

Mimmalisa Trifilo will commence with us the week beginning 30th August and we look forward to what she will be able to bring to the position.  An artist herself, Mimmalisa has over 20 years of experience teaching Visual Arts in schools and institutions and as such will bring a wealth of knowledge and creativity to the position. She will visit us next Tuesday to meet the children and commence induction so I trust we will welcome her warmly to our community.

Little Shop of Horrors

Caroline Chisholm Catholic College is hosting its 25th anniversary College musical production – Little Shop of Horrors. Our Year 5/6 students have been invited to attend their special matinee show on Wednesday 31st August.

There are two evening performances which you may be interested in attending. Please see our Community News page for details.

PFA Meeting

Our next PFA meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 17th August commencing at 6:30pm. On the Agenda will be all things Father's Day so please feel free to join. Coffee is on me!

Footy Colours Dress Up day

Just planning ahead, on Friday 2nd September we will celebrate the AFL final series with the return of our annual ‘Footy Colours Dress-Up Day’.

On this day children are invited to wear their favourite AFL team colours to school and I hope to see a sea of black and white (Go Pies!)

Fathers' Day

Please mark in your diaries Friday 2nd September as the day we kick off Fathers' Day Weekend (ha ha) , with our Fathers’ Day Breakfast and Fathers' Day stall.

Breakfast will be served from 8:00 am until 8:45 am and what better to serve dad than a hot bacon and egg roll? Breakfast will be hosted in the undercover area and don’t forget to wear your Footy Colours to school (dads and children)!

Following breakfast, our traditional Fathers’ Day Stall will return. There will be a myriad of gifts to choose from starting from as little as $2.00. It is up to each family to decide what would be an appropriate amount to spend.

These events don’t run without the support of our parent community so stay tuned for notifications asking for volunteers for the breakfast and the stall. It would be great if you could assist.

School Closure Day: Staff Professional Development Day

Please make sure you have marked in your diaries Friday 19th August as our next School Closure Day: Staff Professional Development Day. Students do NOT attend school on this day.

God bless
