Brain Breaks and Maths
In the Junior Learning Community we have been enjoying playing a new game taught to us by Ms. Durrant.
The game is called Bomby Knockers and is made up of three teams and two red, yellow and green noodles. The children are put into three teams and each team is allocated two noodles of the same colour. Two players from each team play at the same time. The aim of the game is to stay in the game and not be knocked out by the other teams. If you get knocked out the noodle is passed to the other people on your team. Thanks Ms. Durrant for teaching us such a fun game.
JLC students have been learning about arrays in Maths. To help us learn, we needed to learn the language of rows and columns and actions to help us remember the direction. Arrays are an important part of maths as they help the students visualise how numbers can look in groups. Furthermore, arrays help with understanding times tables.
Kind Regards
