Lower Murray Water Rural Customer Traineeship 

Lower Murray Water (LMW) is a water corporation providing water services to urban and rural customers along the Murray River, from Koondrook to the South Australian border.  With just over 200 staff located in and around Mildura, Swan Hill, Kerang and Robinvale, we are responsible for servicing around 80,000 customers.

We are recruiting for a Trainee in Certificate III in Business to join our Rural Customer Team where you will be learning from and supporting the team responsible for delivering a range of customer services to our rural customers. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate customer orientated person to start your water career and be mentored by a team of professionals with extensive experience in leadership and the water industry.  This role is a fulltime up to two-year contract and national traineeship wages and conditions apply.

 

About the role: 

Reporting directly to the Team Leader Rural Customers, this new role will work within a multi skilled tam and will learn a wide variety of skills to support our Rural Customer Service functions such as water licencing, water trading, change of ownerships and hydraulic analysis.  Prior water industry experience is not required however we are looking for a motivated individual looking to build a career in the industry.

Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Learning and developing skills relating to the technical requirements of water licensing, water entitlements and trading.
  • Supporting team members and liaising with customers and members of the public
  • Processing applications in the Victorian water register and other LMW business systems.
  • Contributing to a safety-first culture
  • Representing LMW professionally at all times.
