The Peppercorns 10s & 11s

It’s great to be back at Arlington, enjoying the beautiful surroundings and each other’s company.

The Peppercorns have been working on their personal projects for our Unit of Inquiry about systems and structures. Aside from the various experiments we have engaged with, the children have created a tangible piece that relates to systems and structures. Whether it be a model brain, a poster of a family tree, a painting of a windmill, or parts of a gaming device, the classroom is packed to the rafters with exciting projects.

We have discussed the best way to present the projects and the children have decided to set up a gallery space in the classroom to share their finished work with each other. Some children have created written explanations of their piece, whilst others have accompanying videos which demonstrate their understanding of the Unit of Inquiry. Some children will have interactive features in their space and others will stand beside and guide their viewers through their piece.

The next step is to work out the logistics and map out a plan of our classroom and individual presentation spaces. We are looking forward to organising and setting up the gallery and hearing more about each other’s personal projects.

As always, the end of the year comes with mixed emotions. We are proud of 10s and 11s for all they have achieved through such a trying year and thankful for all the support from the families.  We hope you have a great break and some time to just ‘be’.
