Extension Reading Project Year 9 and 10

We are proud to announce a new extension reading project for our Year 9 and 10 students. We know it can be particularly challenging to find books to read at this age... students often find themselves stuck in the abyss between the children’s section and the adult section of the bookstore, and it’s hard to foster a love of reading if they haven’t quite found their niche yet.

We hope this list sparks some inspiration in our students for what to read next based on the subjects they enjoyed in the specialisms program. The list has been thoughtfully curated by specialism teachers, and we hope it starts some great conversations at school and at home. Our wonderful librarian, Niamh McPhilemy, has ordered copies of each title for our growing library, and we’re aiming to have all novels available for students at the start of 2022.
