FORENSIC SCIENCE

CSI: Workshop

Year 10 students studying Forensic Science have applied their forensic knowledge, acquired in Term 3, in a hands on mock crime at the Victorian Police museum. This program introduced students to the role of forensic science in police investigations and students were immediately engaged with the accounts of several Australian cases where particular forensic techniques were used.  After an introduction to the theory, students worked collaboratively in small groups to examine a murder scene and worked together to answer one of four key questions that were then presented to the group.
