New Staff for 2022

Next year we are growing one grade and we are losing a few staff that will be on maternity leave. Deeon Toogood, Vicky Barnard and Rachel Ward after term 1 will be staying at home looking after their new family additions. Therefore, we have some new teachers starting their Woori journey next year.

Elyse Newman – A former Woori Yallock Primary School student. Currently working at Albany Rise Primary School.

Penny Trueman – Will be in her first year of teaching.  However Penny worked at the school as a pre-service teacher under Jess White’s eye, therefore we already know she is a very skilled practitioner.

Rachael Falls – Rachael has been working at the school for most of the year in some capacity. Rachel has already had experience at a number of schools and we were lucky to win her services for next year.

Also most importantly, Flick will be back as Assistant Principal after her stint as Acting Principal of Mount Evelyn P.S.

Grade Six Graduation Dinner

We did have a scare last week when there was an announcement around unvaccinated 12 to 15 year old's not being able to go to restaurants or excursions. Thankfully the Department of Education clarified this issue late Sunday night. Grade six students will be allowed to attend their graduation and end of year excursions. Unfortunately unvaccinated parents will not be able to attend due to government restrictions. Sadly even if we held the dinner at school the same restrictions would apply.
