With only a few more weeks of school left, we have been extremely busy within the Music Room.
All of our lessons have been focussed on recording each class' chosen carol in preparation for the presentation at the end of this term. Each student would take turns in stepping up to the microphone, donning a pair of headphones and singing to the backing tracks. The students were shown how all the voices were combined to form an homogised choir of their voices. For many of the students, this was their very first experience of being recorded in the studio. For others, they recalled their experience from previous years, and demonstrated an air of professionalism and patience during the whole recording process.
In fact, little Summer from Year Two even approached Mr Lapina during her lunch break to see if she could record a special song for her mum.
Meanwhile, our Aladdin Ensemble continued with their hard work preparing for next year's performance.
Practice has started for our Year Six singing students who will perform a small piece for their Graduation in a few weeks.
A lot of this year has been at the mercy of many of the disruptions brought about by the lockdowns, but it is encouraging to see how quickly and efficiently our students have settled back into the busy-ness of creating music!
