Amanda Rishwoth Southern Suburbs Volunteer Awards

We acknowledge four of our long term and ongoing parent volunteers who were presented with Volunteer Award Certificates at a ceremony in November.

Congratulations and thank you to the following parents for their ongoing support and time to help our school community.

Michael Guidera

Michael has been an active Governing Council member for the past 4 years and has regularly volunteered for various jobs including listening to reading and is one of our regular BBQ Chefs at whole school events.

Rebecca Austin

Bec has been an active member of the Governing Council for the past 3 years and is passionate about providing sporting opportunities for our children when it is possible. She gives up much of her time to organise and drive initiatives with our Fundraising committee to raise funds for things such as the new playground.

Richard Shaw

Richard has been a member of Governing Council for the past 4 years and a driving force behind some of our recent school improvements including input into the ground’s developments, future oval playground and new school website in his role as Promotions/Grounds Committee Convenor. 

Louise Nicholls

Louise has been one of our most consistent and long term reading helpers, prior to COVID interrupting this. Even when her daughter moved into the upper primary area she has continued to volunteer to help listen to the Junior Primary children read. Louise and her daughter often give up their own time over the weekends to clear up rubbish that people have left in the front garden areas – thank you so much for this.
