Chaplain's Corner

Hello MPS Family

How are you? *Stop and pause and wait for the answer* tell me more and how can I help?

Above I am using an example of how I am trying to slow my thought processes and busyness of this term down so that I can truly "hear" what is going on around me both here at school and in my own family.  Let us not get caught up so much in what we are doing but  remember who we are and that it only takes a small gesture to make others feel valued.  It is a pleasure to be at our school and I am really looking forward to the picnic and  colour run on Friday.  I get to come to school on some of the awesome days!  I love my job.

Breakfast Club

The club is up and running daily from 8am to 8.20am with a grab and go option until 8.30am. It has been fantastic to see you and your children coming along.  I have loved the fact that we have re-commenced in term 4. It is helping us develop routines and come up with ideas that will see the breakfast club become a great and familiar part of our days into 2022.

Thank you to all the staff who have pitched in to get it off the ground.  A special thank you to Mrs Barr who is helping to create some very practical solutions to some of the challenges of grab and go options.

Do you need any help or financial support?

I am currently applying to my church for a grant to support individuals and families in our community.  Do you or anyone you know need a hand up at the moment to make the Christmas season a little easier to navigate?

Please contact me through the Admin Office as I will be accessing some funds and supports in the next couple of weeks and would love to hear from anyone who could benefit or anyone else you would like to nominate.  This is a confidential support and I am happy to speak to you privately at any time.

I look forward to seeing you all on Friday.
