Balcatta Senior High School - Big Art Day Out
Balcatta Senior High School is running a FREE art taster for Year 5 students. This is an opportunity for students who are interested in the arts area to experience a diverse day program of art making at the Balcatta Senior High School Art Studios.
Students will be working with our specialist art tutors who are all practicing artists.
Our Gifted and Talented Visual Arts students will be present and their artwork from the annual art exhibition will be on show.
Date: Saturday 13 November 2021
Time: 8.30am to 3.00pm
Location: Ron Murphy Art Gallery at Balcatta Senior High School, Poincaire Street car park.
Please bring a healthy morning tea, lunch and water bottle. All art supplies will be provided free.
RSVP: Please email Sherree Tomlinson, our Gifted and Talented Visual Art Co-ordinator, by Friday 29 October 2021 if you wish to attend our free art taster.
Once an RSVP is received you will be sent a permission form and medical form to be completed.

Celebrate Girrawheen Summer Event Saturday 13 November
The City of Wanneroo will be hosting an event on Saturday 13 November 2021, 11am to 4pm in and around the Girrawheen Hub area. All of the activities and attractions are free for everyone to enjoy, there will also be stage performances from Girrawheen Senior School Performing Arts Programme and multicultural acts. We will have markets stalls and information stalls, a pop up skate park so kids bring skate boards, scooters and bikes. The Girrawheen Community Garden will be talking about composting and hosting a planting activity for children as well as a raffle. There will be ‘have a go’ activities in the Senior Citizens Centre and a Teen Zone in the Hub. Local food trucks will be in attendance to purchase meals.

Junior Futsal Summer Season
Junior Futsal is a great way to keep the kids happy and healthy while they have fun with mates. This fun and exciting game caters for School Year Groups 3-10 along with a Youth (U18s) Competition.
Get involved by registering your child in a team, or as an individual.
When: Friday afternoons (from 4pm): Summer Season - 29 October 2021 to 4 March 2022
Division: Years 3 & 4, Years 5 & 6, Years 7 & 8, Years 9 & 10, Youth (18s and under)
Cost: $53 per team, per game.
