Year 7 and 8 Sports Days

We were very lucky to have clear skies and sunshine for our Sports Days late in the term. Due to the fact that all the junior sport was cancelled early in the year, we decided to run some activity days for the Year 7's and Year 8's.

The students were divided into homerooms and then into boys and girls. In the first session the boys participated in 3 games of bucket cricket, whilst the girls were rotating through European Handball, Zone Ball and Tchouk Ball.

We then stopped for a BBQ lunch and some free time. In the second session the boys and girls swapped over and did the opposite of the morning session.

In the last session of the day we combined the boys and girls back into their homeroom groups and played volleyball.

The students were given prizes throughout the day for their positive encouragement, inclusivity, effort and team spirit. They really enjoyed their days out of the classroom socialising and laughing with their peers.

Thanks to all of the staff that assisted by umpiring throughout the day and cooking the BBQ. Extra thanks go to Michael Tomkins and Eliza Cahill for all the work they put in to making the days a success for the students.
