Spanakopita and Garden Harvest Salad

Another week of cooking, another delicious and nutritious meal prepared by Year 3 in the NMPS kitchen. On the menu, this time was spanakopita with a garden harvest salad.

 

We sautéed an abundance of greens and combined with spring onions, herbs, eggs, and three kinds of cheese (ricotta, parmesan, and fetta) to make our tasty filling

 

Everyone worked together in their cooking groups to carefully layer the filo pastry and fill our pastry. It required lots of patience and teamwork, but our perseverance paid off with undeniably delicious results. Classes made the most of our fresh garden harvest creating colourful salads with broad beans, candy beetroot, and mint. 

 

A fabulous effort Year 3 on creating this amazing meal, which was enjoyed by many!
