Performing Arts Wrap Up

From Dan, Michael, Eleanor, Rose, and Liam, Performing Arts teachers

We wanted to let you know that unfortunately,  despite our best efforts and many attempts to roll and pivot with the challenges of 2021, we will not be sharing video content of students participating in our Performing Arts Program as we had hoped.

After it became clear that we would not be able to hold a Performing Arts Concert in term 4 as planned, we had instead aimed to use term 4 to create and share video content of students participating in Drama and Music as performing arts-focused items from Italian and Auslan.

Yet again, 2021 had other plans.

Rehearsing students to present songs and performance items takes consistency, week after week, and sadly this has been something we have not had this year.

We are so sorry to not be sharing with the school community the work that goes on in these Specialist classes. Whilst we weren’t able to create performance items to share, there is always value in students participating in the process of group work, and exploring imagination, self-expression, language, and communication.

We have enjoyed working with students in the classroom this year and have appreciated the time and effort taken by students and families to respond to our Specialist remote learning programs.
