Australian Maths Competition

In August students from Years 3-5 put their problem-solving skills to the test competing in the annual Australian Maths Competition. Congratulations to the 180 NMPS students who participated in the competition this year. 

This year we had two students demonstrate their mathematical process by being awarded certificates for High Distinction:

Zachary Dagastine (Year 6): Top 1% of Australia

Catherine Wang (Year 6): Top 2% of Australia

Special mention goes to Zachary who also received the prestigious award of Best in School for receiving the highest score achieved by a NMPS student.

Honourable mention goes to the following students who were awarded a certificate of Distinction for finishing within the top 6-20% of the competition for their year level:
