Live music face to face: Get your ticket now!

This week ,our final VCE Music Performance student, Brooke Hillam, prepares for her Pianoforte examination on Saturday.  You were able to see a sneak preview of her program during Speech Day, last Friday.  In addition to Aaron Copland’s Cat and Mouse, Brooke will perform pianoforte works from Bach, Mozart, Mendelsohn and Gershwin as part of her dynamic program. Our recently featured VCE Music Performance students have had such a broad music education and involvement during their time at College.  Brooke has held the piano chair in our Musica Viva National Chamber Music awarded Senior Piano Trio. She was a trombonist in the Concert Band and Jazz Combo, a dependable Soprano in the Generations in Jazz Festival Voices and Female Voice Choir, a soloist in the Christmas Service and Music Captain 2021.  We thank Brooke, for her service to College Music, and wish her all the best for the Performance examination on Saturday.

The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra returns to Hamilton on Thursday 11 November.  Live music, face to face!  This is a must-see concert for all string students and recommended for everyone. Take this opportunity to hear Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Dvorak’s Serenade for Strings, performed by some of the best musicians in the country, live, face to face at The Hamilton Performing Arts Centre (HPAC).  Tickets are available from the HPAC or click here.

Our friends in the MSO Violin section, Monica and Sarah Curro will return on Saturday 13November to work with our students.
