3-4 S.A.K.G NEWS!
We are just as excited as the students to be returning to on-site learning in the coming weeks. The cooking classes will be delivered with strict hygiene and COVID safe practises in place. The recipes will also simplified to ensure students can be safe since we are unable to enjoy the added support of our wonderful volunteers.
In the garden, some beds are bare and awaiting little hands at work to bring forth spring and summer planting. We still have plenty of herbs, celery, silverbeet and cabbages to harvest for cooking until the end of Term 4. Our chickens are doing well and laying somewhat consistently.
During the last week of Remote Learning, students have been learning about the health benefits of oats. Those unable to cook were encouraged to share learnt facts whilst others made porridge and oatmeal cookies for healthy snacks. Here are some examples.
Looking forward to seeing everyone back on site soon!
