Principal's Message

By Ms Reynolds

Welcome back Kindy and Year 1!

On Monday, 18th October - we welcome our youngest learners back to face-to-face teaching and learning. All of the staff are ready with safety plans and smiles to ensure a smooth transition. I'd like to thank our families for supporting remote learning for so long - and extend that to families of children in Years 2-6 who have one more week to go.

Our 3 main goals in welcoming students back are:

  1. to create safe, nurturing classroom environments;
  2. to re-establish relationships, friendships and social interactions; and
  3. to celebrate learning and work on targeted learning goals for every student.

We have a range of supports in place to ensure a smooth transition - and look forward to seeing K and Year 1 students and families at the Trongate school gates!

(Learning packs for Years 2 - 6 can be collected from the Hall - entrance only through Blaxcell St gates).

Further supports

All staff are required to wear a mask at school.

It is not mandatory for students, however, we will encourage it. Feel free to wear a mask from home. We will have some available at school too.
