ACCESS-IT – OUR NEW CATALOGUE

We have some exciting news. We are in the process of moving to a new library management system called Access-it. Access-it allows students and staff to access the catalogue from their devices at home and school. They will be able to browse and reserve books and can even write book reviews. Our print, ebook and audiobook collection will all be integrated to the one site, along with other curriculum resources. It will also allow us to promote our reading lists, new books and overall reading. More details to follow.

BOOK WEEK

The Library will be celebrating its own version of Children’s Book Week from Monday 8th to 12th of November. We will have a range of fun covid-safe online activities including a Spotify playlist with songs featuring other worlds and new worlds. There will also be a ‘Where in the world’ quiz where we include photos of our staff members at various locations around the world and invite students to identify where the photo was taken. Finally, all students who completed the Premiers’ Reading Challenge will be treated to some cool prizes, as will winners of the other quizzes. Keep an eye out on Compass as we will be posting more details soon.
