Student Help Needed
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
On the 31st of October we will be celebrating the schools 40th birthday with a church service at Good Shepherd Church from 10:30am. After, we will have the opportunity to continue the celebrations with a picnic lunch.
There are several opportunities for the students to be involved on the day. If your child is interested in being part of the worship service or taking tours of the school, please send an email to evie.stevens@gspv.sa.edu.au

Interested or Continuing in Music 2022?
If your child is planning to continue or would like to commence (Years 2-6 only) to play a musical instrument in 2022 please print the attached relevant form and return to the Front Office no later than Friday 22 October. Forms can be collected from the Front Office if needed.
Absenteeism
If your child/ren is absent from school, or will be late to school on any day, please email admin@gspv.sa.edu.au as well as notifying the classroom teacher. Thank you.
OSHC Drop Off/Collection
The drop off and collection of children from Imagination (OSHC) is an important duty of care that as a school we take seriously, therefore it is vital that all children are escorted by their parent/carer to the Imagination door and seen by a staff member to be signed in. The same procedure is to be adhered to at collection time to sign the child/ren out. Thank you for partnering with us in this effort to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.

Term 4 School Fees
Invoices for Term 4 will be issued via email at the end of this week. Please check your junk mail folder if you do not receive it in your inbox. Term 4 fees are due by Friday 29th October unless a payment plan is in place. For all enquiries relating to payment of school fees, please contact the Finance Department at the office or via e-mail accounts@gspv.sa.edu.au
Sport Photos
Sport photos have arrived and are now on display at the Front Office. Please see the Front Office for order forms or alternately email admin@gspv.sa.edu.au for the code to access online.
Dad's Day Out
Come along to a GSPV Dad's Day where we will head over to Maitland on the Yorke Peninsula.
This trip will be of interest if you remember the cars from Duke's of Hazard "The General Lee", Knight Rider with "KITT", or even have a soft spot for Ford or Holden cars. Weather permitting there is also a go cart track which we may be able to use BUT if the weather turns bad, there will be a back-up plan.
WHEN: Saturday 23rd October
ARRIVE: 8.00am sharp at the school. (We plan to car pool where possible)
BRING: BBQ meat
RETURN: 4.00pm (approx.)
There will be a small cost of $15.00 per person, just to cover fuel for the drivers.

Scholastic Book Club
Scholastic catalogues have been sent home with students this week. Scholastic apps are available to download for both Apple and Android devices to make ordering through the Loop system easier.
There is the option to mark your purchases as GIFTS. When these books arrive, you will be contacted directly, rather than books going home with students.
Please also note that some titles offered, differ from the Christian ethos followed by the school. Orders need to be placed via LOOP by Thursday 21st October 2021. Happy Reading Everyone!
Growing Faith at Home
Dear School Families,
Today’s GFH title is ‘Jesus teaches about serving’. He didn’t just teach about it, he demonstrated it through his actions. The Service Key offers some great advice: ‘The very best way to learn the value of service is to do it!’ It goes on to provide some great pointers to get you and your family started. Why not give them a go and then talk about the experience as a family? Have a wonderful week everyone!

Little Lambs Playgroup
Hi there everyone,
We’re baaack! Why not join us for a term of nature-based play? Beginning this Friday from 9am. We will be meeting on the school oval again. Our area is zoned along the eastern fence in the nature play area. Please note, the playgrounds are not available on the day. Please bring your own rug, weather appropriate clothes, snacks and a warm cuppa. Once again, access with be through the oval entrance gates at the end of the car park. Hope to see you there!

Uniform Shop
Online QKR! uniform orders are encouraged, although the uniform shop is open for business:
- Tuesday: 8.00am - 10.30am
- Tuesday: 1.00pm - 3.35pm
- Thursday: 1.00pm - 3.35pm
Please contact Dani, our Uniform Coordinator, via email for all your uniform enquiries.
Masks are required to be worn inside the shop.
Canteen
The canteen is open on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for pre-ordered recess and lunches.
Menu items can be viewed on the QKR! app.
Please place your order by 8.30am with separate orders for each child.
