Year 11 Winter Ball

Thank you to the all musicians so generously gave their time and talents to perform at the Winter Ball last Saturday:  Emily Colbran and Maeve Magner (Year 12) accompanied by Mrs Cooney who provided all the music for the formal dances and throughout dinner, and

selected members of the Stage Band: Lalya Davis (Year 12), William Louis (Year 11), Sam Gander (Year 11) and Raphael  Hampartzoumian (Year 10), who were joined by the fabulous Alumni Allstars:  Kate Verhoeven - Keyboard (2017), Joey Jones-Romeo - Trombone (2017), Hamish Davidson – Tuba, Rohan Dugdale - Trumpet (2016), Cam Smith - Drums (2016), Laura Williamson – Alto Sax (2018), Hamish Davis – Baritone Sax (2020) and Mrs Rachel Dugdale – Alto Sax, who all kept the joint swinging for the remainder of the evening.

Soirée Wintereisse

The program for next week’s Music soiree is now being finalised, students who have not suppled the relevant information by the end of this week will unfortunately be removed from the program.

A reminder that students requiring microphones and backing tracks will need to attend a tech rehearsal on Monday, 19th June at lunchtime in the Recital Room.

Orpheus Strings plays Studio Ghibli

In Orpheus’ year of 30th birthday celebrations, we are venturing in new directions and for our concert on 18th June we have prepared a delightful selection of Studio Ghibli pieces and also contemporary Australian pieces by John Rotary. Please come and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with us and support the dedicated BMGS students who have joined us for this concert.
