Girls’ Soccer Day
Every year in the second term, about eleven girls from Grade 5 and 6 get the opportunity to participate in a girls’ soccer day. On this day the girls get to play 6 soccer matches with schools around the city of Kingston. It is a fun day for every child and enhances their teamwork and communication. We highly recommend it because it is great fun, and every girl gets a chance to shine. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for girls and teachers alike.

Lightning Premiership Day Reports
Mixed Soccer
In Term 2, HCC’s Grades 5 and 6 had a very fun and exciting event, district sport. It is a time when students participate in different sports. The options are Softball, Soccer and Netball. In the soccer team, there were both boys and girls. We would play every Friday. In Week 8 Friday, we had Lightning Premiership which is a day where we go out and compete in soccer for the whole day. We were in the B pool and played 4 matches, though we didn’t win we still had a very fun time.

Girls Netball
At netball, it was really fun even though we didn’t win any games. We had fun and had learnt good sportsmanship. We learnt how to work together well as a team and that teamwork is important. Each game we played we got better which made us really happy in the end.

Mixed Softball
Lightning Prem was one of the best days of the term. We had a wonderful time, versing all four schools. This included Southmoor, Le Page, Mentone Grammar and OLA (Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Primary School). We had a blast playing with all the different schools and thankfully won all for of our games ending the day, prideful.

Mixed Netball
HCC had an amazing opportunity to play mixed netball at the Lighting Premiership 2023. Although our team didn’t come first, we were proud of the way our team played together and we came third in Pool A. We thank our teachers for believing in us and helping us throughout the term.

Girls Softball
It was an exciting day for the softball team made up of Grade 5/6 girls. We were privileged enough to go to Kingston Health Reserve and play against other schools in the Cheltenham district. We saw lots of teamwork throughout the day and are proud to say that we came third in the A Division.
