The Write Spot

Across the school, students are producing some fabulous pieces in their writer’s notebooks. A writer’s notebook is a place for students to notice the world around them, capture ideas for writing, trial different writing craft strategies and practice their writing.

Teachers use the writer’s notebook for students to practise the craft of writing following explicit instruction delivered as a mini lesson, and the use of mentor texts to model great writing.
