Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome to term 3.  The excitement is growing as we plan our move into the new Senior Campus on South Terrace.  The Senior Campus will become home to our grade 5 and 6 students.  Following their move, we will be relocating all of our grade 4 classes to the upstairs area of the Organ Factory, freeing up our library space.  We are also planning for a second Art room and a reconfiguration of our specialist areas in the downstairs space of the Organ Factory.  A formal opening will be planned for later in the year however once we are settled in we will be offering community tours so that we can "show off" our new space.

The School Council wants to hear from you!  The School Council is holding a parent/carer forum on the Educational Offerings at CHPS on Wednesday 2nd August in the MPR at 7pm.  Our mission is to provide students with the best possible foundation in life through a well-rounded education. The School Council values your input into how we can provide the best possible offerings for our students into the future.

This forum will discuss:

- What educational offerings do parents/carers value now and into the future

- The School Council's role in governing school finances

- The impact of the school finances on educational offerings

- What is a sustainable model for educational offerings moving beyond 2023

Our community voice is integral to ensuring our programs represent the needs of our community.

You can register your attendance for this event here.

Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 16th August at 7pm in the staffroom.  Our 2023 Annual Report can be accessed on the school website.

Next year is Clifton Hill Primary School's 150th birthday.  We are looking for volunteers to join a committee to plan a community celebration for this milestone.  Please email susan.williamson@education.vic.gov.au if you are able to help with the organisation of this event.
