Meet a student

10 minutes with…. 

Silvana Ziino

Silvana Ziino is a Year 10 student here at Marian College. She tells us a little more about herself … in 10 minutes.

1. Tell us a little about your life outside of school? Eg. Family, hobbies. Passions
   I live with my parents and I have an older sister and brother who have both moved. I enjoy gaming, drawing, playing football and learning to drive a car.
    
2. What do you like most about being a student at Marian College?
   Over the two years at Marian College I have formed new friendships with some really nice people and have found focus and drive to learn at this school.
    
3. Who inspires you:
   My Mother and Father both inspire me and I also find inspiration from my friends and teachers who encourage me to do better all the time.
    
4. What are the biggest challenges facing teenage girls today?
   The biggest challenge for young teenage girls is that they are very self conscious about their looks and social media creates these unrealistic expectations of body image and how they should act.
    
5. What advice would you give to students at Marian College?
   Advice I would give would be to show respect to others and encourage them to value their friendships and study hard to ensure a good future for themselves.
    
6. Favourite food & drink?
    My favorite food is lasagna accompanied by coke. Every once in a while, I would get a Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino with coffee (grande).
    
7. Favourite holiday destination?
   I would like to visit the Vatican in Italy and other places in Italy where my ancestors came from. France would be nice to visit too.
    
8. Favourite TV show & Movie?
   My favorite movie of all time is Ninjago because It brings back nostalgia from my childhood.
    
9. What are your dreams for the future?
   My dream is to have a future career in IT. I also want to get my drivers license so I can go places anytime I want and see my friends.
    
10.  Which 2 people in history would you like to invite to a dinner party?
    I would invite singers like The Weekend, Taylor Swift, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and the Western Bulldogs AFL captain Marcus Bontempelli.
