Confirmation
We pray for the Year 6 students who will make the Sacrament of Confirmation next week with Bishop Brian. We know they will be supported by their sponsor and parents to continue the mission of Jesus filled with the Holy Spirit. Today the students and teachers participated in a Confirmation Retreat Day, which included attending Reconciliation with Fr Patrick. Students will celebrate as a grade with cake and prayer on Monday of Week 10 - 26 June.
Please note that students will receive their Sacrament of Confirmation on the date that parents booked at time of enrolment. Should you have any questions regarding Confirmation, please contact the Parish.

Christian Meditation & Prayer Group
At St Joseph's we are always working on ways to build on the "Catholic Life and Culture" of our school community. From Term 3, students in Years K-6 will be invited to join Mr Walker at lunchtime to participate in a Prayer and Christian Meditation group. This will be an optional activity during lunch time and students can freely come and go each week as they feel necessary.
Students will learn and participate in popular prayers such as the Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet and Lectio Divina. Students will also have the opportunity to pray for their own intentions as well as practise the art of Christian Meditation.
Families are encouraged to discuss this initiative with their children and respond if they feel that this is something that their child would benefit from and enjoy.

National Refugee Week 2023: Finding Freedom
This year National Refugee Week will be celebrated next week from 18-24 June 2023.
This year's theme is, Finding Freedom.
Coordinated by Refugee Council of Australia, Refugee Week is an important opportunity to celebrate the contributions made by refugees and asylum seekers to Australian culture and society. The week is also an opportunity for all Australians to educate themselves about the issues that affect refugees.
