Lost Property

Lost Property Rack outside the Office

We Need Your Help!

NMPS has close to 800 students this year. Consider this equation:

One student in ten misplaces something at school each week. By the end of week there will be 80 items sitting in lost property.

To pardon the pun, not all is lost.  NMPS has a system for lost and forgotten things generously organised by teachers Alicia and Kimalee.

Label EVERYTHING

Make sure all items that are brought to school are labeled with your child's name.

As all lost items go into the baskets by the door to the school office, any named items will be returned to students.

All un-named clothes will be put on the clothing rack of ‘free clothes’.

Regularly Check the Lost Property Racks

Students and families are encouraged to check this rack, and the baskets, for any named or missing items. The ‘free clothes’ rack will then be made available to students to take what they ‘need or want’ on Friday lunchtime. Once a term, the leftover items will be donated to charity. Please regularly check the lost property and encourage your child to check. Otherwise, you may find another student wearing your child’s clothing!

This system is for lost school items only

A reminder, this system is implemented by staff who donate their valuable time.
