Congratulations Jake Bowey
Melbourne Football Club chose Cheltenham Secondary's very own Jake Bowey as their first selection in the 2020 AFL draft and since then Jake has been patiently waiting for his name to be called up to the Demons playing list whilst plying his trade with Melbourne Football Club's Casey Demons in the VFL. Round 20 saw Jake get this well deserved honour which he has worked so hard for. Congratulations to Jake and the Bowey family. Go Bowzer!!
Since his debut for the Demons Jake received an AFL Rising Star Nomination for his game against Adelaide. We wish him every success as the Demons race into the finals and we thank him for posting this message. Having completed VCE in 2020 Jake knows full well the challenges our current students are facing.
