A Message from the Principal

Mrs Pauline Long

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to Term 3. I hope our families had a relaxing holiday and enjoyed each other's company. Our staff members are excited to be back and have many wonderful activities planned for the students.

Living Well Learning Well

Our Living Well Learning Well focus for this term is ‘I am a Learner’. We encourage all students to take ownership of their learning by self reflecting on the 5 learning questions: What Am I Learning? How am I going? How can I improve my work and learning? What help do I need? Who can help? I encourage all students to strive for over 90% attendance this term as this will have a positive effect on learning.

Mini Olympics

This week we start preparing for our mini Olympics, which will be held on Friday 30th July. All the students have been grouped into teams and given a country they will represent. These students will meet in their teams each Thursday afternoon to research interesting facts about their country,  to create a war cry  and to practise the various fun events we have planned. We have team events such as relays and bubble soccer as well as individual challenges using skipping ropes and hula hoops.

School Improvements

We continually strive to improve the physical surroundings of our school. During the holidays we completed the fence around the school (it looks amazing!) and the painting of the administration area. This term we will also focus on the preparation needed to create garden beds for the students to grow fresh produce during Term 4.

Have a wonderful week

Pauline Long
