Friday Fiesta

We had our inaugural ‘Friday Fiesta’ on the 19th May. It was fantastic to see the students in an environment where they had the opportunity to speak in Spanish and embrace Spanish culture. The Year 9 Spanish students treated the Spanish junior classes to a live cooking demonstration, introducing a Latin cuisine – the Taco. The Year 7 students ate fresh and delicious Tacos prepared by the Year 9 Spanish students. They practised their language speaking skills and listened to Spanish music. This event will be a monthly occurrence at lunchtime in the Science and Language Centre, where all Spanish students will be encouraged to come along and indulge in Spanish food, games, music and language. It was such a huge success that many students eagerly await for next month’s ‘Friday Fiesta’.
